Welcome 3rd Grade Class

Welcome 3rd grade class! I am thoroughly excited to get to know each and everyone of you! A little bit about myself; I graduated from Brigham Young University-Idaho in 2012. I am married to the handsome Zachary Johnson. I have lived and traveled many places around the world. I enjoy learning, reading, painting, movies, and outdoor sports. I look forward to having you all in my class so we can learn and grow together. I believe learning is fun and that is what we are going to experience in our classroom. As a class we will learn together being set up in groups, working as a team to accomplish our tasks. We will read wonderful books, learn to spell and use great new words, know and apply math skills, and learn about our amazing country, and introduce the exotic and big world, along with learning to express ourselves through music and art. I also believe children learn best when they learn about the subjects they are interested in. So along with the subjects in the classroom, each week children will be able to pick a certain interest and learn more about it. We will have tests, but together we will prepare and review to help you succeed. Also, we will be involved in group activities and projects continually helping each other learn. And we will take field trips to better understand the subjects we studied. I feel my role as a teacher is to educate your children and instill in them a love for learning. I am here for my students and their parents and hope you all will feel comfortable with me to express comments or concerns. Since our whole goal is to work as a team, we will also set our classroom rules together. They will hang up on the wall so all can see and be reminded. Along with the rules we set, our classroom will be a safe environment for every student. We will respect and show kindness to all. I want our classroom to be a place where every child can be his/her self. Each day student planners will be sent home with the students and should be checked by the parents. As part of keeping our classroom a wonderful environment we want to include the parents with every step. We also hope that at home the parents will help promote the attitude of fun learning and respect of others. As we establish our rules as a class, a list of them will be sent home to help students and parents remember and promote them outside of the classroom. Thank you all for your support.

Cheers to lovers

Okay, I'm not kidding when I say I have a gazillion pictures of random stuff on my computer...so here's one that's bound to draw a grin...atleast to the corner of your mouth, even if you're denying it just because you don't want to admit that you're smiling at something resembling love (and everyone around you seems to be there...cough swedish fish cough)...

cheers to the lovers

Hi loves! Looks like we've all taken a little DITW hiatus? Well, I'm here to say that I'm back. I have a gazillion pictures saved onto my computer--all of super random, but cool (in my book) stuff. And who really cares about my stuff outside our circle? Exactly. So here's my first post-hiatus post: A new daily read for me is Fly where the blogger is opening a new online shop on Monday featuring the au natural kinks of us curly-headed chicas! I'm in love...with Fly and with the prospect of this new lovely shop!

Overnight!

So I needed to make new business cards for my Photography (sgphotographer.blogspot.com) and decided to order from overnight prints. They came so fast and are so cute! The paper is great, and they offer rounded corners which is like the cutest thing ever! I love them! I'll put up pictures soon. They were so easy to make though and the customer service was great too!

Photography tip for GP

So, I've been in a major wedding blog mood lately, which makes me miss GP even more than usual. Today, though, was especially unique because I learned a valuable artist's lesson:
Watch out for half-naked people before you start snapping that little round button!

What a way to demonstrate the love and matrimony of two happy souls.
(I also thought the plastic Wal-Mart cooler added a classy touch)

You’re in Georgia Now

So today I was out shopping for mayonnaise to make potato salad and decided to treat myself because I just got my wisdom teeth out last week and they took the packing out this morning (yay!). Well what did I come upon in the bakery but this:

SoftFadedThree

The most beautiful magnolia styled cupcake. It is HUGE too. Only in Georgia would you be able to find these goodies for just $3 at the grocery store.

SoftFaded

I love Georgia, all of you need to come experience the loveliness here and I will buy you a giant flower cupcake.
